Great Seafood Harbor Inc in Artesia is a straightforward spot for those looking to dive into traditional Chinese seafood and dim sum fare without the pretense. Situated within a busy strip mall, it fits right into the lively, multicultural fabric of the area, where families and regulars pop in for hearty, no-frills meals.

The restaurant comes alive especially during dim sum hours, when carts brimming with small plates roll through the tight dining room, which tends to fill up quickly. The buzz and occasional buzz of overlapping conversations are part of the experience here—food comes fast and hot, inviting diners to be quick and eager with their picks. Expect a mix of textures and flavors: the pan-fried dumplings stand out with their crisp edges surrounding juicy fillings, and classic dim sum staples like shumai and shrimp har gow are reliable choices. If you’re adventurous, chicken feet and tripe are also on the dim sum roster, reflecting authentic tastes favored by longtime patrons.

The kitchen covers a broad range of seafood and traditional Chinese dishes beyond dim sum. Meals like seafood chow mein, Peking duck, and various preparations of shrimp and fish offer straightforward, comforting flavors. Portions are generous, aiming to satisfy groups keen on sharing a variety of dishes together. The atmosphere leans utilitarian rather than polished—tables are close together, noise levels rise with the crowds, and service reflects the efficient, no-nonsense style typical of many dim sum spots in the area.

Parking can be a challenge, especially on weekend mornings when locals flock here for brunch-like dim sum sessions. An early arrival helps to avoid the busiest stretches and ensures a seat before the dining room gets packed. This place isn’t for a quiet date or leisurely meal but works well for families, groups of friends, or anyone interested in authentic Cantonese-style dim sum and seafood in a lively, bustling environment.

  • Best for: Dim sum fans seeking variety and authentic flavors, groups comfortable with a bustling, noisy setting.

We always really enjoy ourselves at Seafood House. The carts are full of goodies, but my favorite is the pan fried dumplings. They are delicious! A bit crunchy on the outside, packed full of yummy on the inside. The tofu is great too. My husband's favorite is chicken feet or shu mei. It does get loud and crowded but that generally means everything is hot.

Well, it has been years that we haven’t come back to this place. It seemed like the whole mall was under new facelift construction for the area. As usual, the parking still packed with cars and this mall was busy with customers. There were shops and restaurants in the same mall including an Indian supermarket near by. We came in right on time with 1/4 full of customers inside this restaurant. After a while, it was busy and noisy . The foods were good and very delicious. Services here were fast and very friendly. Again the food carts kept coming around your tables for you to choose your own favorites. Good to be back and had lunch with families.

It's your typical spot with good dim sum and "rude" service. I say "rude" because it can seem that way if you are not accustomed to the culture I guess. The food here is pretty good, I always stop by when I'm in town. Come here for the food and not the service and you won't be disappointed.

Always an easy place to go get dimsum in the Artesia area and will definitely get busy in the morning when you want dim sum. Always great hargao and shumai to eat as well as all the other dimsum selections that are offered. Parking could get packed on the weekend but worth it when you're in the area.
